Bud Culp is currently General Counsel for Front Burner, a franchise management company headquartered in Tampa, Florida. It is affiliated with dynamic and niche-specific brands including The Melting Pot, the premier fondue restaurant franchise with 125 restaurants in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and has over 10 locations in development internationally.
Bud is responsible for all of the company’s legal matters, including corporate governance, franchise regulation, contracts, intellectual property, employment, mergers and acquisitions, and litigation management. In his role, Culp provides legal and management guidance to the executive team and owners of the company. He has ongoing responsibility for the franchise disclosure process.
Prior to joining Front Burner in 2014, Culp was Chairman of the Franchise & Distribution Practice Group for the Denver law firm, Moye White LLP, served as Vice President & Assistant General Counsel for Quiznos, and was a commercial litigator in private practice for two decades, where he tried everything from large commercial disputes to a first-degree murder case broadcast on Court TV.
An honors graduate of Harvard Law School, Culp has been a licensed attorney since 1988. In 2016, Culp was named Top Corporate Counsel for a Privately Held Company in Tampa Bay by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
